This coming Labor Day weekend (2009) marks my 4th anniversary of my first visit to an Orthodox Church. At the time, I was almost 60 years old, a Bible College graduate, and living in the Bible belt, and never hearing of Orthodoxy! My wife of 35 years now and I had been on a spiritual journey. We were searching for something. However, we didn’t quite know what it was until we found the Orthodox Church.

Concerning Orthodoxy, Peter Gillquist has referred to it as “The Best-Kept Secret.” (http://www.protomartyr.org/secret.html) With this blog, by His grace, I will use all the abilities I have to do my small part in getting Orthodoxy more known in America (and around the world).
Thank God for this technical age! In these four years, I have learned much over the internet and through good books that did not exist 50 years ago. There is a lot of good Orthodox material on the internet. Through this blog, I want to help people to be able to tap into this good storehouse of material. Therefore, I will not be doing much of my own writing but sharing where and what is available to the world to learn about Orthodoxy which is the continuance of the ancient Church that our Lord Jesus Christ started in 33 A. D.
Is there any particular article or book that helped any of you in your journey to Orthodoxy? If so, please let me know so others can hear about it also.
